#15 Cod Liver Oil
The Vit-Ra-Tox #15 - Cod Liver Oil is the crudest form on the market, purposely less refined so as to retain the unsaturated fatty acids: linoleic, linolenic and arachidonic. A specific Omega-3 fatty acid called EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid), found in cold water fish and marine mammals, nutritionally supports the heart and cardiovascular function. The primary mechanism responsible for this is EPA's nutritional ability to thin blood and discourage excess blood clotting. Additionally, EPA nutritionally supports the liver in regulating proper LDL and HDL levels (low and high density lipoproteins). EPA has anti-inflammatory properties which can have positive effects on the immune system.*
Everyone could do well to start using Cod Liver Oil again since it is considered an effective source of Vitamin A as well as Vitamin D which helps the body to utilize calcium and phosphorus in building bone structure and healthy teeth.*

#16 Detoxificant
Our Bentonite Products are made from one of the natural volcanic ashes. They are processed to remove the clay, mica, silicates, and surface dirt; the remainder is put into a suspended colloidal state which retains most of its natural minerals and mucilaginous properties. In other words, what we have left is pure Montmorillonite.
Our Detoxificant is a powerful detoxifier derived from Bentonite, a mineral-rich volcanic clay. For centuries, native tribes around the world have recognized the healing properties of Bentonite, and have benefited by using it internally and externally.
Through a unique process we refine Bentonite clay - removing mica and impurities - in order to concentrate the active detoxifying ingredient, montmorillonite (“mont-mor-ill-o-nite”). This procedure places montmorillonite into a colloidal suspension and retains its innate negative charge. These properties allow the powerful adsorption (physical binding) of positively charged substances (most metabolic, environmental, and chemical wastes are positively charged.) Montmorillonite possesses the ability to adsorb (or physically attach), about 40 times its own weight in toxic substances. Binding toxins from the alimentary canal at this level permits direct elimination through the feces, and prevents their absorption into the bloodstream and subsequent symptoms.

#19 Intestinal Cleanser
Our Intestinal Cleanser is a finely ground powder of imported Psyllium husk and seed. As it contains primarily fiber and no laxative or herbal stimulants, it can be used on a daily basis to assist normal bowel peristalsis. (In contrast, laxatives or herbal preparations “stimulate” the peristaltic muscles of the bowel, and, if used regularly create a “dependency” and weaken normal colon function.) Psyllium has a hydrophilic (water-loving) action that softens hardened mucous lining the bowel wall, facilitating its elimination. Psyllium can help achieve a high fiber diet, so important in maintaining good bowel health, and now recognized as an important component in reducing blood cholesterol.
Our #19 Intestinal Cleanser and #16 Detoxificant are ideal companion products, and we recommend they be used together for maximum detoxification of the alimentary canal.

#19A Herbal Supplement
A natural herbal supplement (laxative) from the extracts of Cascara Sagrada and Aloe Curacao. Cascara Sagrada aids in the removal of consolidated, bacteria laden waste matter that accumulates in the colon (large intestine). It eases the passage of such material without producing cramping, diarrhea or constipation. Cascara's effectiveness is due mainly to its high anthraquinone content, or A-factor, which mildly produces a soft or formed stool in about six to eight hours with little or no irritation. There is negligable effect on the small intestine, but vigorous peristalsis in the large intestine.

#21 Greenlife® Fortified
Greenlife® Fortified contains 52% Greenlife® (dried juice of barley, oats, rye and wheat) and 8% dried whole beet juice and sea kelp. #22 Greenlife®
Greenlife® is the original organic cereal grass product, produced since 1953. It is a 100% vegetable food, containing 92% dried extracted juices of organically grown cereal grasses: barley, oats, rye and wheat (no chemical fertilizers or insecticides used); and 8% papain, beets and sea kelp. The grasses are cut at the young, rapidly growing stage, when the maximum nutrition is in the blade. The juice is extracted from the grass, chilled, and dried to a powder by a vacuum dry process (near body temperature).

#38 Calphonite
(A liquid Calcium-Phosphorous Supplement)
Calphonite is a unique, time-tested calcium supplement, containing essential metabolic cofactors: phosphorous, manganese and magnesium. Our patented process makes the calcium more soluble and available. In fact, calcium is absorbed 8 times more readily from Calphonite than it is from bone meal or regular di-calcium phosphate - appearing in the bloodstream within an hour and a half. Studies reveal that most Americans over the age of 30 are deficient in hydrochloric acid and do not have enough to properly digest and assimilate high protein and calcium rich foods. #41 Water Base Salve
This Bentonite salve has been designed for external applications on itchy or severely congested tissues. #43 Oil Base Salve
The Oil Base Salve uses Bentonite clay in a specially-formulated ointment containing camphor, eucalyptus and wintergreen oils. It can be used as a skin emollient and analgesic for soothing discomfort from superficial burns, sunburn, minor cuts, bruises, athlete’s foot, pruritus, dry eczema, skin abrasions, irritations, and other similar skin conditions. The drawing properties of Bentonite help to naturally clean and sanitize an infected wound.

#48 Whole Beet Plant Juice Tablets
The beets used for this product are organically grown. The whole beet (leaves, stems, and root) is juiced, and the extract is vacuum dried without the aid of maltodextrin, a sugar that is used as a drying agent, to retain maximum quantities of the enzymes, vitamins and mineral factors.
This product, being a concentrate, is nutritionally potent. It takes 20 tons of beets to make 1 ton of beet powder. Therefore, all the nutrients present in the beet plant are present in the powder at 20 times the normal amounts. Unlike other sources of iron, the body assimilates iron from the beet root more easily than any other known food. Beets also contain potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, sulfur, iodine, vitamins and many trace minerals.

#53 Wheat Germ/Flaxseed Oil
These Wheat Germ/Flaxseed Oil capsules consist of 73% wheat germ oil, an excellent source of the Vitamin E complex; and 27% flaxseed oil concentrate, a rich source of essential, unsaturated fatty acids: linoleic and linolenic (omega-6 and omega-3). Vitamin E is an essential dietary component that is necessary for antioxidant activity in membranes. It regenerates other antioxidants (i.e. selenium and glutathione) after they become oxidized. The essential fatty acids must also be obtained in the diet, and are precursors for many hormones and metabolically active compounds.
Light, oxygen and high temperatures destroy Vitamin E and fatty acids very rapidly. Therefore, the wheat germ and flaxseed are pressed at a low temperature in the absence of light and oxygen. The oil is then encapsulated in a bovine gelatin capsule for easy consumption.
The natural Vitamin E in foods is destroyed during cooking and processing due to heat, light, air and freezing. Grains lose up to 80% of their Vitamin E content when milled. Commercially processed vegetable oils are low in Vitamin E. It has become quite clear that there is a need for Vitamin E supplementation in our modern diets.

#54 Enzymatic Supplement
When taken with food, this product is meant to aid natural digestive processes. Each tablet contains two layers of digestive enzymes. The outer portion contains pepsin, which works in the stomach to digest protein into soluble amino acids, proteoses and peptones. Pepsin is activated by the low pH of the stomach, so people suspected of gastric acid deficiency should take our #56 Pro-Gest - which contains a natural source of hydrochloric acid (betaine hydrochloride) - with the Enzymatic Supplement. This outer portion is meant to dissolve in the acidic environment of the stomach.
The inner portion of the tablet becomes activated in the small intestine, and contains the following additional digestive aids: bovine bile salts that activate pancreatic lipase (a fat-digesting enzyme), and pancreatic substances - amylase (for starch), lipase (for fats), proteases (for protein) plus trypsin, chymotrypsin and other essential proteolytic enzymes.
Stomach acids can decrease the digestive activity of the tablet’s inner portion. So, it is encased in a natural acid-resistant coating - which is destroyed if the tablet is chewed. For this reason, the tablets should be swallowed whole.

#56 Pro-Gest
The active ingredient in Pro-Gest is papain which is derived from the papaya melon and is a marvelous digestant for proteins. Other ingredients include papaya seed meal, russian black radish, and betaine hydrochloride in a base of dried organic beet juice, the same powder used for our #48 Whole Beet Plant Juice Tablets. The betaine hydrochloride acts to supplement the natural hydrochloric acid in the stomach.
Today’s refined, processed, preserved, and fragmented foods have created deficiencies and toxic conditions that have significantly compromised our digestive systems. Many Americans over the age of 30 are unable to produce sufficient quantities of gastric acid and digestive enzymes to properly digest their foods – resulting in heartburn and symptoms of acid reflux. #57 Natural Source Vitamin C
Our Natural Source Vitamin C tablet contains 100 mg of natural vitamin C derived from dehydrated juice of the Acerola Berry (60 mg) and Wild Spanish Orange (40mg). These food sources provide the whole Vitamin C complex - bioflavinoids and other synergistic nutrients - factors not present in supplements that use ascorbic acid (isolated form of vitamin C). Our Natural Source Vitamin C has a 100 mg equivalent of ascorbic acid per tablet, supplying 166% of the Daily Reference Intake (DRI). However, it is naturally many times more potent than ascorbic acid, because it contains the entire Vitamin C complex.
Vitamin C is well recognized as essential for the formation of collagen, connective tissue that is required for normal maintenance, growth, repair, and healing of all living tissues. Vitamin C also functions as an antioxidant, and protects other antioxidants such as selenium and Vitamins A and E from becoming oxidized (inactivated) in the body. Since Vitamin C is constantly being utilized, it should be taken in small repeated doses throughout the day. Our chewable tablets are ideal for this purpose, providing easy and rapid absorption of Vitamin C complex.
